After signing an agreement with Maserati, Citroën bought the Italian brand in 1969. The result of these events was the SM, released in 1970, equipped with a Maserati V6. This coupe was a commercial failure, and the acquisition of Citroën by Peugeot in 1974 was fatal to it. This “Bleu Platine” colour (blue) was available in 1971.
