Description
Launched in 1990, the BMW 8 Series succeeded the 6 Series. The 850 version receives a V12, when the 6 Series only offered 6 cylinders. But like its predecessor, this large coupe had no series-produced convertible variant. BMW did work on such a model, but it remained under study. However, a few independent coachbuilders tried the experiment.
