Description
This Lyon-based company founded in the early 1900s merged into Renault in 1980. Berliet built some cars, but is mainly famous for its trucks and coaches. Launched at the end of the 1920s, the GD range received a diesel engine from 1931, very much appreciated in that period of crisis. This GDHM with a tarpaulin used to cover a 3,000 km distance between Algiers and Gao in Mali.
