The third-generation Escort was unveiled in October 1980. People appreciated the "semi-fastback" profile of this front-wheel drive (the previous models were rear-wheel drives). The range included a 3-and 5-door sedan, a 3-door station wagon, and a convertible. Here we have a right-hand drive 3-door 1.6 Escort, in Ghia trim. Vitesse also reproduced the British Escort MK3, in bronze and blue.

The most famous of all Golfs, called GTI, was launched in 1976. The VW was equipped with the 1.6-liter 110 hp injection engine borrowed from the Audi 80 GTE and offered performance and ease of use for a price that no other manufacturer could compete. Here we have a first-generation Golf in English version, after the facelift of the 1980 model year, with larger taillights.
