In 1957, all Mercurys are based on the same 3.10 m/122 in.-long wheelbase with one V8 engine (either a in 5.1-litre or a 6-litre). The top-of-the-range Turnpike, with unusual air intakes above the windscreen, was released that year in sedan, coupe or convertible (the latter being reproduced here). From 1958, the Turnpike becomes a trim level of the Montclair then it disappears in 1959.

Launched in 1950, the famous T1 is the second Volkswagen model sold after the Beetle. This explains why its name is Type 2. But this first-generation Kombi is also retroactively called T1, to distinguish it from the updated versions that followed! Here we have the lovely minibus Samba, produced in 1951, with its 8 roof windows and its opening canvas roof.

Volkswagen devised the "people's car" convertible version from the beginning, and was ready to launch it in 1939. Produced by Karmann, it was finally released in 1949, four years after the sedan. Here we have the 1970 version of the 1302, which received technical and practical updates. More precisely, this is a 1972 model year.
