The C28 project should have become the Talbot Arizona. But Talbot being bankrupt, this model was integrated into Peugeot’s range. Baptized 309, the car was released in 1985. For 1987, this punchy GTI received the 1.9-litre (130 hp) borrowed from the sparkling 205 GTI. Here we have the first series, before the 309 was restyled, in summer 1989.

Citroën GT by Citroën 2008 white (Norev) 1:18

First imagined "virtually" to appear in video games, the GT by Citroen became a "real" car at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. This concept car of a supercar first unveiled in white, then in red, was equipped with a V8 borrowed from Jaguar. For a while, Citroën thought about manufacturing a handful of units which could be sold at a price elitist, and then abandoned.

The McLaren F1 was launched in 1992 during the wave of "supercars". During its short career, until May 1998, this model benefitted from many updatings. The 1995 GTR, in particular, was developed specifically for racing. Nine units were sold in 1995, nine in 1996, plus a dozen of “long tail” versions in 1997.

The career of the Simca 1000, presented at the end of 1961, started slowly. This rear-wheel drive notchback model matched to the demand of the time, though. Its success came over time and thanks to rally races; this small Simca will be sold until 1978. It receives a front grille and square lights for 1969. This LS version comes here with the redesigned dashboard which appears in 1974.

Peugeot 206 RC silver (Norev) 1:18

Released in 1998, the 206 is still the biggest success in Peugeot's history. There are many variations: three-door, five-door, estate, but also the famous coupé-cabriolet, a three-door sedan and a pick-up in some markets. The 206 S16, the descendant of the 205 GTI, first develops 138 hp. Then, from 2003, this RC version boosts its 2-litre engine to 180 hp.

In spring 1990, the Clio succeeded two generations of Renault 5. The task was hard, because its predecessor often dominated the French market. The Clio did the same. Its sporty versions had a completely different philosophy: the turbo engine was replaced by a more powerful and naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder block. The Clio 16S was released in 1991 with a 1.8-litre delivering 137 hp.
