The manufacture of automobiles disappeared in 1998, but Tatra still produces trucks. The T148, an updated T138, received a 12.7-litre diesel engine and was produced from 1972 to 1982. This 1976 version, used by the police, is equipped with water hoses.

Equipped with a 12.7-litre diesel V8, it was available in 4x4 or, like here, 6x6.
