The first-generation Forfour was marketed from 2004 to 2006. Mitsubishi, which sold it under the name Colt, built it and both cars were made in the Netherlands. For this second generation released in 2014, Mercedes approached Renault. In consequence, the new Forfour is an extended Fortwo, but also the cousin of the third-generation Twingo. The two of them receive a rear-mounted engine.
