Opel Ascona 2-door red 1970 (Minichamps) 1:87
Opel produced three generations of Ascona between 1970 and 1988, when this sedan gave way to the Vectra. Here we have a first-gen 80 hp 1.6-litre 2-door Ascona, launched at the very end of 1970, just after the Manta coupe which shared the same platform. The Ascona was also available in four-door sedan and three-door station wagon.

The (third generation) Kadett "C", introduced in the summer of 1973, is a global car. Sold by Vauxhall as the Chevette, it was also available in the United States, Brazil and Australia, Japan (as the Isuzu Gemini) and Korea (as a Daewoo). This two-door variant represented, for Opel, 46% of the 1.7 million Kadetts sold until 1979.

In 1973, Opel launched the 3rd-gen Kadett. This Kadett C will be the last rear-wheel drive of the line before this Opel turned this small family car into a front-wheel drive. The range included several bodies including this two-door coupe (with no hatchback). This wise trim level served as a basis for rally versions.

Here we have the 5-door station wagon Caravan, but the car was also available in 3-door wagon and 3 or 5-door sedan.

Opel Kapitän (Schuco) 1:43
In 1954, the Kapitän was redesigned. Its pontoon styling (integrated fenders, three-box profile) was more modern. This Opel looked like the Olympia Rekord, but its size was completely different: it was 4.71 m/185 in.-long against 4.24 m/167 in. This Schuco die cast model features a version with the new grille introduced in 1955.
