Launched in early 1983, the Mercedes 190 was known as the “baby-Benz”. At that time, the German manufacturer did not use real names for its cars. This model, which was later renamed the C-Class, was initially equipped with a 90 hp 2-litre carburator engine, or 122 hp for this injection 190E. Its designer was Bruno Sacco, who was also the stylist of the C111, among others.

After the 1991 W140, considered to be too massive and too heavy, Mercedes-Benz designed a more streamlined S-Class, introduced at the 1998 Paris Motor Show. The W220 was 8 cm/3 in shorter, 4 cm/1.6 in lower and 300 kg/660 lbs lighter. This 5.8-litre V12 version, delivering 367 hp, was launched in 2000.

Launched in 1951, the 300 Type W186 is the first post-war German luxury sedan. In a sense, it was the ancestor of the S-Class. This model was renamed 300b in March 1954, then 300c in September 1955 and finally 300d in 1957, under the designation “W189”. Here we have a 1952 model year, still devoid of any window deflectors. Reproduced in dark red since May 2021.

The Mercedes 190 W110 was released in 1961 and restyled in 1965: the turn signals, initially on the fenders, were placed under the headlights. With its new 2-litre replacing the original 1.9-litre, the 190 was renamed 200 (reproduced here). No estate has ever officially been built. It was a Belgian company, IMA Malines (Mechelen), which produced this variant called Universal.

Unveiled during the 1954 New York Auto Show and produced until 1957, the 300 SL is a star in the history of automobile. This model was famous for its gullwing doors and its great direct-injection engine, which was a premiere on a “mass-produced” car. Most of the 1,400 units produced were delivered to the United States.

Marketed in late 2017, the X-Class finally ensures Mercedes' presence in the pick-up market. This model benefits from the synergy created with Renault-Nissan. Therefore, this pick-up truck shares its platform and manufacturing plant with the Nissan Narava and Renault Alaskan. Mercedes thus reinforces its collaboration with Renault, with the Citan already being a rebadged French Kangoo.

Introduced in late 2014 and marketed in early 2015, the Mercedes AMG GT developed a whole range, like any mass-produced car. Over the years, this model offered the possibility to choose between three engines on the coupe and from late 2016, the brand added a roadster variant. The latter, with its folding fabric roof (stowed, here) can either deliver 475 hp, or 558 hp on this C version.
