Inspired by the work of Chrysler and the Italian coachbuilder Ghia, Hudson made this pretty coupe with the Carrozzeria Touring. The base is a Hudson Jet but the line, lower and more original, makes the difference. Unfortunately, the price is too high and customers regret that the engine is not a little boosted. Only 25 to 26 Italias, according to sources, were sold between 1954 and 1955.

Fortunately Brooklin exists, and reminds us, in 1:43 scale, the history of Hudson. In this case, the miniature car evokes the end of this small American brand whose production ceased in 1957. This 1954 Hornet convertible was the only model in the range whose price exceeded $ 3,000, with the exception of the rare Italia coupe. Brooklin also reproduces the Hornet sedan (same model year).
