In 1957, all Mercurys are based on the same 3.10 m/122 in.-long wheelbase with one V8 engine (either a in 5.1-litre or a 6-litre). The top-of-the-range Turnpike, with unusual air intakes above the windscreen, was released that year in sedan, coupe or convertible (the latter being reproduced here). From 1958, the Turnpike becomes a trim level of the Montclair then it disappears in 1959.
